The One Arm Bandit Story and what were about.

My Story

What we stand for

My Story

In early 2017, a motorbike stack shattered my body and flipped my life on its head. I broke my back, neck, ribs, and scapula, and tore my brachial plexus. My left arm was permanently cooked. Think Homer Simpson’s “one‑armed workout” bit—only it wasn’t a joke. It was my reality.

A year later, the team needed a keeper and I cheekily put my hand up—literally one hand—and said, “Only if you don’t mind a one‑armed keep.” I strapped my left arm to my chest, walked back onto the pitch, got between the sticks, and never looked back. I earned the nickname “The One Arm Bandit”—not out of sympathy, but respect.

Over the next nine years, I kept thinking about building a brand—designing and making gear for people in the same boat. Plenty of false starts, a fair bit of faffing about, and nothing to show for it. Then another curveball: a stroke. Lying in a hospital bed, I started sketching a clothing brand on a notepad—something that represents who I am and tackles the unique challenges of my circumstances. By the time I was out, I had a functioning website and had started posting on socials—proof that momentum can start anywhere. That was the spark for what you’re reading now.

Concept

What we stand for

My Story

This brand’s simple: I’m a bit crooked and asymmetrical, so I wanted gear that owns it. It’s the kit I actually want to chuck on. Boho style, light and free-flowing with hardware that actually functions.

My left arm’s cooked, so left pockets are useless. Cargos made sense, more space, fewer hassles and flimsy sport shorts and hoodies kept dropping my shit. My phone took the brunt of it. I also love to travel, so keeping grubs out of your pockets is non‑negotiable.

The result:

The free spirit: Boho ease, earthy palettes and relaxed, free-flowing cuts.

The utilitarian: pocket systems that don’t spill, hardware that earns its keep and layouts for asymmetry.

The traveller: theft‑smart pocketing, hidden or zipped entries, internal anchors and one‑hand‑friendly closures.

Form follows function. Function follows real life. If it doesn’t feel good, hold up or keep your gear safe, it doesn’t make the cut.

What we stand for

What we stand for

What we stand for

 Free spirits, full pockets
We’re a crew of pocket tragics and kindred weirdos. People who travel light, meet strangers, and collect stories.

Peace over aggro
Good vibes only. We’re  pro-community. Show up with respect, look out for each other, and leave places better than you found them.

Function with soul
Boho ease meets hard-working details. Earthy palettes, relaxed cuts, and hardware that actually earns its keep.

Built for real life (and real bodies)
We design for real life practicality, one-handed closures, smart angles that stop gear from spilling when you sit, run, or jump a train.

Travel smart, stay open
We love the road and the random chats it brings. That’s why theft-aware pocket systems come standard.

Momentum over perfection
We believe in small steps, stacked daily. Progress beats posturing, and done beats perfect when you’re trying to change your world.
